Objectives

This project aimed at achieving 6 targets 1) Digi-CVET course offer how target groups (EQF 4 and up) can appreciate initial training in construction with digital optional elements 2) Development of a digital course to build up horizontal knowledge in digital communication with focus on construction needs in CVET 3) Digi-CVET developed a CVET learning module related to digital collaboration with respect to clouds 4) Main "emerging technologies" were subject to a new CVET learning offer in terms of defining the significance of them in the (near) future 5) This project was supporting target groups (middle management in SMEs or entrepreneurs) in making use of digital aspects for improving their Employer Brand 6) It aggregated the targets 1-5 on a tailor-made technical platform - ILIAS This ILIAS platfrom was develop and designed to continue using it after the project duration in order to further enrich it with more "life". The consortium intended to provide for the target groups a set of digital modules, which enable them to better perform themselves in the use of digital offers in VET, but also to better apply any kind of digital aspect in their professional fields. For VET, it was also intended to demonstrate a technical platform.

Background

Digi-CVET has been and is a direct response to the changing needs in work life, where in the near future approximately 9 out of 10 jobs will still require at least simple but up to advanced digital skills and competences. The project intended moreover to establish a CVET culture in the lifelong learning process which will be oriented to digital aspects more and more. Digi-CVET has established a sustainble European meeting point for VET as it has developed concrete CVET on short distance and can integrate more existing digital CVET on the middle and long distance due to a low threshold technical solution (ILIAS) which allows target groups to access, operate and study based on their individual language. Moreover it addressed competences that are transversal in order for learners to adapt their gained digital transversal competences in different settings. Digi-CVET pursued to address learners in CVET to be fit using a wide spectre of digital offers because of building up on overarching digital competence instead of putting digital content at the first row.
