The main objective of the project was to enhance vocational education and training in the field of energy efficiency in electrical building installations, aligning with European Commission goals. the specific objectives to be fulfilled were: 1.Enhance professional skills: improve the qualifications and competencies of electricians and electrical engineers in the field of energy efficiency in building installations. 2.Digital competency growth: increase participants' digital skills to adapt to modern technological solutions in building systems. 3.Industry collaboration: strengthen the partnership between vocational education/training (vet) and the electrical industry to meet labor market demands. 4. Equal educational access: promote equal access to high-quality education, ensuring availability of the resources created by the project. 5.VET efficiency: enhance the efficiency of vocational education and training (vet) programs, aligning them with labor market needs. 6.Support green transition: assist in the transition to environmentally friendly technologies by reducing energy consumption in building installations
Efficiently incorporating green technologies into building electrical systems and facilitating the green transition demands well-trained professionals. According to EuropeOn, the Association of Electric Contractors' 10-year projection, Europe must prepare enough qualified electricians capable of installing 3,000 solar panels, 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations, and 15,000 heat pumps daily to meet climate targets. In this context, the project aimed to improve electrical engineering qualifications and competencies through vocational training, focusing on intelligent lighting, building control systems, and small photovoltaic systems for energy-efficient building installations. It aligned with European Commission goals related to post-COVID-19 recovery and transitioning to a digital and green economy while also promoting digital skills development, strengthening industry partnerships, ensuring equal access to high-quality education, and fostering efficiency in vocational training through technology adaptation. The initiative facilitated environmental sustainability by reducing energy consumption and aligning with EU climate goals, thereby fostering SMEs' growth and competitiveness, and promoting a climate-neutral Europe.
