Background

The initiative was a response to the pressing challenges faced by the European workforce and industries in the wake of the COVID-19. This transition highlighted a critical digital skills gap among employees across sectors. Many organizations found themselves unprepared for the rapid move to remote work and digital operations. The project aims to directly address these challenges by focusing on the professional development of VET and corporate trainers, who play a pivotal role in workforce development. By equipping educators with advanced digital skills and soft skills, the initiative seeks to create a multiplier effect, where improved training capabilities can be disseminated across Europe's workforce. This is designed to enhance the adaptability and resilience of trainers and employees. Furthermore, the project acknowledges the necessity for continuous adaptation to new ICTs and evolving occupational profiles. It proposes a comprehensive strategy to upgrade the digital skills of trainers and foster an environment where innovative teaching and digital tools are integrated into training. This ensures that the European workforce is prepared to navigate the current digital landscape and is future-proofed against upcoming advancements
