Objectives

Above all, we wanted to improve and promote the health of teachers and the competence of our staff in order to be better able to meet the challenges that schools face now and in the future. By attending international training courses, we acquired even more know-how, in addition to courses we had already completed, such as "New Resources for Teaching" and "NLP" in the classroom. A second important focus at our school is "social learning", which helps to respect each other's differences in order to treat each other in an appreciative, considerate and responsible manner. In order to maximize methodological skills and knowledge, the training should provide further training. For this purpose, diverse, proven methods for teaching should be collected. In addition, these events offer a great opportunity to network with schools and participants from other EU countries.

Background

The Dr.-Jaufmann-Mittelschule is a school in Bobingen, in the south of Bavaria. More than 65% of our students have an immigrant background. In regular classes with and without all-day care and M-classes, as well as a practical class, 345 pupils in 19 classes are prepared for the various qualifications: completion of secondary school, qualifying qualification. Another focus of our work is language education and integration, personality development and social learning. The very heterogeneous student body is a great challenge for teachers and innovative teaching methods help to do them more justice. For years, a very strong practical orientation through career-oriented measures and internships has brought many school leavers into training or further training measures. German learning classes and German learning courses are other important learning programs that need to be evaluated and fuelled with innovative methods.
