Objectives

The “School as a living space..." project aims to create a pan-European strategy to improve educational opportunities. By developing a common learning culture that includes educational landscapes (Bildungslandschaften), pedagogical architecture and the creation of participation opportunities, we want educational opportunities for all students Our vision is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the individual needs of learners and enables them to develop their full potential. • Realignment of educational landscape (Bildungslandschaften): This included the creation of flexible learning spaces and the integration of digital tools • Promoting participation: Students, parents and external partners should be more closely involved in everyday school life and in educational and development processes • Networking and international exchange: cooperation with partner countries should include innovative approaches to schools and education • Designing schools as a socio-cultural place in the district with multi-professional offerings and strong educational partners • Strategies for qualifying school and education management in a municipality

Background

Education is a key topic in local development, but there is often a lack of an overall strategy from all educational partners. The Erasmus+ project "School Living Space - Development of a common learning culture through educational landscapes, pedagogical architecture and creation of opportunities for participation," aimed to sustainably design schools as educational landscapes (Bildungslandschaften) that offer students, parents and teachers new opportunities for participation, collaboration and development. The topics and content contribute to the development, support and (further) development of a learning culture that is based on individual support, appreciative relationships and regional identity. Everyone involved in the project brought experiences from their field of work .The Gera Youth Welfare Office (Department of Youth, Social Affairs and Culture) has been carried out projects within the framework of international youth work since 1997, the ERASMUS+ cooperation partnership, like “Bildungssprünge..." 2011-2013 and “Consistent Way..” 2014-2017 play an important role for this cooperation partnership.
