The project's overarching goals centred around empowering youth through a guided learning process in the thematic areas of open youth work, urban youth culture, youth art opportunities, and human rights education using music as a methodology. The objectives were threefold: 1) Empowerment through Human Rights Education and Music: The project aimed to disseminate human rights education through musical education and innovative musical and NFE methods. By utilizing music as a universal language, it sought to simplify complex human rights concepts for young people. Through activities like youth exchanges and professional development activities, intercultural learning, inclusion, and a deeper understanding of fundamental human rights principles were fostered. 2) Development of Youth Work Practices and Quality: The project aimed to enhance youth work practices and quality, focusing on open youth activities. This objective encompassed discussions and evaluations of open youth work to improve resource accessibility for young people. Job shadowing and advance planning visits facilitated collaborations, aiming to elevate overall youth work practices. 3) Promotion of Urban Youth Culture and Free Time Activities: The project aimed to provide free time and youth art opportunities, specifically within urban youth culture. Engaging in activities like youth exchanges, it created a safe and stimulating environment for young individuals to develop skills, self-esteem, and cooperation. The emphasis lay on nurturing understanding, tolerance, and collaboration among youths from diverse backgrounds. Throughout the project's activities, the use of non-formal education methods and group-based activities played a pivotal role in achieving its objectives. The overarching goal was to inspire active participation within communities, encouraging cultural diversity awareness, social skills enhancement, and a profound comprehension of human rights and European values. The project's execution involved various activities and exchanges in different locations: - Banja Luka and Berlin (A5) Youth Exchanges: These exchanges aligned with the first objective by employing music to disseminate human rights education. Custom songs were created, addressing the specific needs and topics of participants, and non-formal methods were used to collectively analyze and reflect on human rights concepts. - Fontanelas Professional Development Activity: This activity focused on collaborating with young musicians, pedagogues, and non-formal education experts to develop effective methods for engaging youth on human rights through music. Insights from the "Music for Human Rights" project were used, resulting in methodological tools employed during the "Music United" youth exchange in Berlin (A5). - Job Shadowing in Romania and APV in Marseille: These activities aimed to explore perspectives in open youth activities, promoting discussions and evaluations. This aligned with the second objective, focusing on the development of youth work practices, quality, and recognition. Accessibility of resources for young people was emphasized for current and future projects. - Barcelona and Berlin (A4) Youth Exchanges: These exchanges were designed to promote free time and youth art opportunities, supporting young individuals, including those with fewer opportunities, in skill development and self-esteem. By creating a safe and stimulating environment, participants learned through non-formal education and collaboratively faced challenges. The project's foundation was built upon intercultural learning, cooperation, and sharing diverse experiences within urban youth culture. This approach resonated with the third objective, fostering "Free time for youngsters and youth art initiatives." In summary, the project aimed to empower youth by leveraging non-formal education and group-based activities to achieve its objectives of human rights education, youth work practices enhancement, and urban youth culture promotion. Through various activities and exchanges, the project fostered intercultural understanding, skill development, and active community engagement.
