Objectives

Our general goal is to encourage young people to find their own voice, to recognize and take advantage of youth participatory offers, to enter into exchange with people from other cultural, social and economic backgrounds and to learn from the exchange (also about themselves). Ultimately, we want to give young people the opportunity to take part in cross-border mobility. By meeting and exchanging ideas with young people from other countries and through jointly dealing with a specific topic our participants will be stimulated to reflect. This reflection process leads to them gaining more understanding of themselves and their attitudes and realities of life, but also for others. The primary aim of the mobility activities as part of this project was to support young people and young adults in developing their identity, strengthening their personality and promoting their ability to make political judgments and reflect, in order to create the necessary prerequisites for strengthening a democratic society. We see this education as an individual, but also society-related learning and development process. In the course of this, young people should be empowered to represent their own interests and also stand up for the interests of others. They should be sensitized to show solidarity with others and to enter into as well as resolve conflicts non-violently. Through our educational work in European and international contexts, we wanted and want to continue to give teenagers and young adults the opportunity to gain experience with peers from other cultural backgrounds. In addition to the international youth exchanges, which reach the target group of young people directly, we also wanted to increase the quality of international youth work measures and strengthen skilled workers through specialist training. The specific objectives of this project were as follows: 1. Enabling access to extracurricular formats of learning and exchange 2. Increasing knowledge about European and EU institutions and the European idea in general 3. Raising awareness of learning experiences 4. Offers of international youth work with a focus on sustainability, digitalization, and cultural education 5. Recognition of learning experiences not through performance, but through intensive discussion and reflection processes 6. Focus on the strengths of the participants 7. Dealing with socio-politically relevant topics 8. Building multipliers for the area of international youth work 9. Maintain and, if necessary, optimize quality standards for international youth work measures.
