We implemented the project because we recognized that young people within the European space did not receive enough information about environmental protection during the acquisition of formal education. Despite the fact that this had changed in recent years, and that children were increasingly aware of the importance of environmental protection, the target group (young people between 18 and 30 years old) was the one that this knowledge had largely bypassed in the context of obtaining a formal education. With the implementation of the project, we wanted to empower young people and young people with fewer opportunities with additional knowledge and skills related to environmental protection. Within the youth exchange, the participants learned how they could contribute to the preservation of the environment, they learned the principles of sustainability, climate change, circular economy, social responsibility, etc. Within the project, participants learned about the principles of non-formal and informal learning, they learned about the importance of youth work in order to connect and achieve the set goals. As part of the project, young people designed an initiative/intervention to draw the attention of the general public to the importance of environmental protection. With the project, we wanted to empower young people with the awareness that they themselves could contribute to a better and greener society. In order to internalize the opportunities the young people had, we directed them to youth networking/youth organizing and brought them closer to the awareness during that through personal engagement and mutual cooperation they could also draw attention to problems within the wider society and address them. The main topic of the international youth exchange was environmental protection. By raising the awareness of young people, we wanted to have a positive influence on the impact that we as individuals or society could have on the environment. On the one hand, this took place in the context of young people learning how to incorporate the practices that have a positive impact on environmental protection into their daily lives, on the other hand, young participants gained the useful knowledge and competencies needed to raise awareness among the civil society, knowledge on how to connect with others and achieve long-term effects. Objectives: Increasing creativity and self-initiative among young people Improving knowledge and competencies in the field of environmental protection among young people Strengthening international cooperation among young people Strengthening young people with advocacy knowledge Raising awareness of European youth in the field of environmental protection Orienting young people towards a sustainable, socially responsible and environmentally friendly mentality Empowering young people with practical skills related to the organization of events / initiatives / interventions Strengthening the knowledge of participants about the field of youth work and Erasmus+ opportunities Raising awareness of young people about the possibility of influencing the civil society Empowering young people with additional social and functional competencies Social inclusion of persons with fewer opportunities in green Erasmus+ programmes Involving youngsters from outside EU countries into Erasmus+
