"Get Your Own Picture” was a youth exchange in which young people and youth leaders from Estonia, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, and Turkey met together. The main target was to improve participants' skills and competencies in Inclusion & Active Citizenship. The main aim was to give them an understanding of new media as a medium for the expression of opinion and participation. They dealt with the question of differences and similarities between the cultures and went into detail with the interests of today's youth. The young people became aware of European Values and experienced interculturalism. In workshops, the participants learned the basics of video production. They learned how to work with cameras, microphones, recording sound, how to edit the material, and got tips on how to create a storyline for videos. After learning about the theory of creating a video, they were supported in transforming their ideas into practice and made their own videos about the subject Inclusion & Active Citizenship. Afterwards, they were screened and analyzed together with reviewers. In addition to the videos, the intercultural meeting was very important. Therefore, they were offered, for example, the possibility to visit some regional places of interest or special theme nights, where the participants could present their countries and what is typical for those countries. Cultural education initiatives were particularly well-placed to provide low-threshold access to international learning and cultural exchange, regardless of social background, age, or gender. Non-verbal forms of communication reduced linguistic hurdles in YE and highlighted opportunities that were particularly relevant in the context and could help to reduce prejudices, take on new perspectives, and take a holistic view of social processes and topics that are important for young people. All participants lived together, learned from one another, and all together, increased sufficiency, gained new perspectives by coming together with different intercultural groups, increased interdependency, improved themselves as individuals, and improved individual own thoughts and expressed them. The finished end-products were shown in partner countries. The videos were sent to short film festivals all over the EU countries. While running the project, they followed the Erasmus+ Programme rules and guidelines. Of course, during the exchange, a specific session on the new Erasmus+ Programme and Youthpass was provided.
