Our project has two main aims. Firstly, we would like to strengthen youth participation, involvement and engagement in policy-making. We would like to improve access to inclusive and equitable quality education for everyone. Secondly, we would like to make a crucial contribution in the fight against the climate crisis In our project, we would like to show how everyone can help in one way or another to protect the environment and to reduce the impacts of the climate change in different areas of life. The main objective of our project is to contribute to a greener and more sustainable Europe. We have sought inspiration in the UN’s 17 goals for sustainable development. Another aim is to provide opportunities for learning, active citizenship and democratic participation to a wide range of young people with diverse national, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. A further objective is to facilitate an exchange between the three countries involved in the project so that both the partner organisations and the YP participating in the workshops can learn from one another and benefit from working together.
Climate Change is one of the biggest global challenges of the 21st century. The negative consequences of the climate crisis are already noticeable in various areas. Thus, the need for immediate action is now more urgent than ever. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has set 17 Sustainable Development Goals with 169 targets, to be achieved by the year 2030. In order to meet the Global Goals, action is needed from everyone. Since the Goals affect all seven billion people on Earth, it is important that everyone is aware and has knowledge of them. Today, there are 1.2 billion young people aged between 15 and 24 years. YP play a critical role in the implementation of the sustainable development goals in order to achieve a sustainable and inclusive society and to stop the worst threats and challenges in the world.
