External engagement has a central role in the overall strategy of the IT University of Copenhagen where it is described as both a means to achieve world class teaching and research and a means to engage a global network into the university’s existing close collaboration with its Danish stakeholders. We encourage students to go abroad for a semester to emerge themselves in a different educational and cultural system than the Danish and that of the IT University of Copenhagen to give them the relevant competences for a global society and labour market. Therefore, engaging in international mobility through Erasmus+ is a central means to achieve these goals. The IT University of Copenhagen focuses on educating not only students but also facilitates the life-long learning of staff to develop key skills for a changing world and university sector and engaging in the staff teaching and training activities that the Erasmus+ Programme provides are highly beneficial.
