The idea of youth exchange ‘Develop Skills, Increase Employability’ was brought by young people from participating organizations. During local activities, they pointed out that they are missing activities allowing them to develop their employability competencies and to improve their future career prospects. The partners discussed and implemented their ideas. ‘Develop Skills, Increase Employability’ main aim was to equip the participants with competencies needed to find a job opportunity, prepare a CV, motivation letter, create eye catchy LinkedIn profile, and make a good impression at a job interview, develop the most common soft skills employers are looking for such as good communication skills, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, ability to accept and learn from criticism, acting as a team player. Furthermore, youth exchange provided the participants with information on programmes and activities through which they can develop themselves including local and international volunteering, participation in local and international youth projects. Objectives of youth exchange ‘Develop Skills, Increase Employability’were: - to increase employability competencies of young people, including young people with fewer opportunities; - to develop competencies needed to search for a job opportunity and to succeed at a job interview; - to encourage the participants to work on self-and professional development by taking part in a variety of voluntary activities and/or projects supported by Erasmus+ Programme and other funding; - to empower other young people through a series of short videos and local events prepared by the participants of youth exchange; -to equip the participants with knowledge on Erasmus+ Programme and to provide them with an opportunity to work on ideas for future projects; -to strengthen partnerships between the partners and to provide space for discussing ideas for future cooperation.
