“Zero Discrimination” is a two steps project which was created after identifying the issues that the societies have in the partner countries. The organizations from Denmark and from Georgia discussed the issues they face in the youth field, find the needs, agreed on the importance of the topic, and believed that the project could contribute to fighting against discrimination. We agreed that discrimination could cause many problems for people in our societies and in general for the whole world. The main goal of “Zero discrimination” was to start the battle against discrimination, understand the different types of discrimination that exist, what causes discrimination, and what can we do to stop it. With our project, we would like to promote equality and non-discrimination among young people. We believed that It is crucial to foster the values of equality and non-discrimination among youth and it must be done from an early age through formal and non-formal education. Non-formal education played a key role in fostering the development of key competencies, specifically self-reflection, empathy, and mutual respect. The project aimed to raise awareness among young people about cultural differences, they were able to see the significant differences and common values between Europe and Non-Europe Countries. Our goal was to raise awareness of human rights among young people, empowering them to recognize and stand up against discrimination. The project promoted tolerance, overcome hate speech and raise awareness of the issues and social obstacles of marginalized groups. The main objectives of “Zero Discrimination” were the following: - To improve knowledge about other cultures, religions and countries. To let the participants make cross-cultural networks and connections; - To raise awareness about human rights and European values. Recognize the importance of being conscious of the universal rights of the citizens; - To overcome prejudice, stereotypes, and intolerance. Identify the conceptions that cause discrimination and marginalize some individuals; -To learn how to communicate with others using non-violent communication; - To increase soft and social skills, and improve English language competencies; - To encourage participants to take new initiatives. Develop skills for implementing activities using non-formal education; - To share and introduce materials and methods to be used for fighting against discrimination and promoting tolerance; - To organize short workshops against discrimination, promoting diversity, tolerance, and respect; - To promote Erasmus + opportunities.
