Objectives

YE Youth Dialogue 4 Social Change (YD4SC) aimed to stimulate and create an opportunity for youth dialogue on the verge of social exclusion to open the world of non-formal education and take a step forward to develop their competencies, meaningfully participate in civil society for positive social changes. The peculiarity of our project was that we did n’t ignore the problems of modern society, such as military conflicts, migrant issues, social exclusion, gender equality, marginalization, and other issues of discussion, but we conducted an open dialogue among youth, trying to find out how this information was broadcast in different ways in different countries and how we could consciously perceive it. The year 2020 showed us how big and crucial a role international solidarity played towards different countries, minorities, and cultures. However, a lot had to be done to create equal opportunities for marginalized youth for better inclusion and integration. Discussions of engaged partners and participants from different countries led us to identify the similar challenges that we had in our countries, and local realities united us while bringing different perspectives and experiences that we could share and learn a lot from. There was an extra focus on the topic of 'Youth Participation', for various minority groups, which aligns with our goal of achieving dialogue concerning marginalized communities in our societies. The underlying goal of creating dialogue and addressing the need for social change, as well as identifying how youth can be change-makers, was another goal we achieved through this project. The project activities, which hosted Bakuriani, Georgia and gathered youth from 6 country ( Denmark, Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Poland and Ukraine) were based on the non-formal education approach and we intended to show the results of this exchange for the local communities of the participants NGO’s as well, to raise awareness on the social inclusion issues and solutions approached by the concepts of youth dialogue, intercultural activities, non-formal learning methods. The methods and activities achieved the following specific objectives: - YE participants increased their European awareness, promoted European values, and got more sensitive towards the actual global challenges; - YE empowered young people from different backgrounds and develop soft skills that are basic and necessary for communication; - YE participants equipped with knowledge and tools about creative thinking, public speaking, and teamwork through NFE(non-formal education); -YE promoted solidarity, empathy, and tolerance and fostered intercultural understanding between people of different origins; -YE empowered young people to actively participate in youth projects, to volunteer, and to pursue the development of themselves; - YE created space for sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas with the atmosphere of common understanding between peers representing different cultures and backgrounds. - YE promoted the Youthpass as a tool for the recognition of non-formal competencies in Erasmus+ projects. The Youth Exchange was aligned with the priorities of Erasmus+, such as Active citizenship and participation, inclusive Erasmus, and fostered a solidarity, empathy, and tolerance attitude. A part of this project was also directed at sharing knowledge of the Erasmus+ programmes and opportunities for exaclty marginalized communities.
