Objectives

Given that approx. 15% of young people in Europe aged 15-29 fall into the category of NEETs and the increase in the number of young people at risk, by implemented this project we wanted to help young NEETs to find a job, or continue their studies, but also to work with young people in the partner organizations´ local communities, who we know are prone to join the NEETs group - by offering personalized coaching and mentorship. To reach this purpose we targeted 23 youth workers from 7 different countries whom we included in the 2 training courses of the WELL-BE project. During the project, youth workers from 7 organizations joined skills and expertise and were further trained into coaching tools, which could be used to address primarily young people who are involved in no activity (future NEETs) or are involved at a very weak and disorganized level having no plan for their life, neither personally nor professionally. The project´ OBJECTIVES were: 1. To increase the capacity of 23 youth workers to provide coaching services to young people with reduced opportunities (e.g.NEETs) during the project. 2. To increase employment opportunities for min. 210 young people from 7 European countries. 3. To develop a new coaching program by 7 org. from the EU. 4. To develop a network to foster knowledge and share of good practices reaching 200 organizations as members. PROBLEMS AND NEEDS ADDRESSED: -15% of young people in Europe aged 15-29 fall into the category of NEETs -between 1.5% and 3.5% annual GDP loss for each project country -high level of ab. school -marginalization of young people -ex. migrate -isolation and radicalization of young people due to technology -low rate of civic participation (eg voting) -wellbeing of youth
