The schools wantet to learn from eachother regarding best practices. On top of this we wanted to develope a didactic model regarding implementing the relevant SDGs in a relevant way in the teaching and training in the building and construction area. To achieve this we developed several teaching and training materials and webinars focusing on sustainability in buiding and construction. All project results are available on the project webpage: https://greenwaveinvet.eu/ The main goal of the project was to implement ways to integrate the SDGs in the teaching and training in building and construction in the projects schools.
Together with the partner schools we identified a common challenge in our VET-school system: The schools all taught the students in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), but also struggled to do it in a way, where the SDGs are integrated in the teaching and training in both theoretical and practical subjects and learning - and in a way that is meaningfull for the young people. We wanted to adress this issue and at the same time to inspirere each other pushing forward the green agenda in construction and building and the VET-school system across Europe.
