Objectives

The project’s main objective has been to develop an innovative digital toolbox with a focus on study start, providing an online space for 16-24 yr. old students including students at the risk of dropping out of education to help them remain in education/ training, to acquire unformal qualifications as well as to integrate into education structures and to assist with socialization and life-coping skills building an inclusive, diverse social and educational school climate.

Background

This project was initiated based on a need to sthrengthen the focus on inclusion and diversity among students in order to prevent student drop-outs in VET institutions in Denmark, France and Italy. The participating VET schools have all struggled immensely with high levels of student drop-outs, in Denmark the national drop out rate in VET schools is approx. 50%, and the picture is similar in France and Italy. Therefore, we wanted to focus on initiatives and digital tools in order to contribute to increased retention and well-being among students as early in the educational process as possible.
