The main objective of our project was to supplement the teaching methodology and update the curricula of beekeeping training in our Training Centre. To get advice from other training centres outside Estonia involved in beekeeping education.
The NGO Alustame Algusest operates as a training centre with the main focus on training beekeepers with little experience and individuals who are interested in beekeeping. In the framework of this project, we visited Finland and Sweden with trainers and volunteers from the organisation. We organise long-term courses as well as workshops and one-day information days nationwide, so it is very important for our trainers to have the opportunity for further training and to exchange experiences with colleagues in other countries. The second line of the activity is the organisation of study trips. In this regard, it is very important that we have good contacts in other countries so that the study trips in the field of beekeeping are successful. In cooperation with beekeeping trainers from other countries, we select the places to visit for the study trips. We always prepare specific curricula for study trips as well.
