Background

Kadrioru Saksa Gymnaasium is a general education school in Tallinn with in-depth study of the German language. The school was founded in 1960, and it has been possible to learn German as the first foreign language since 1962. Teaching takes place in two school buildings: Gonsiori 38 (grades 7-12) and Kivimurru 9 (grades 1-6). The number of students is approx. 1200. The school has several traditions and several cooperation partners (e.g. Estonian Art Museum, embassies, Goethe Institute). In the course of the project, a meeting of coordinators, two study tours and online meetings took place. Cooperation was made with partner schools in Germany and France, with whom we also have previous very positive project experience. At the contact meetings, the students participated in the learning activities of the partner school and activities based on the goals of the project. All activities were related to improving students' digital competence and by supporting the acquisition of international communication experience and the competence of teachers in teaching 21st century skills.
