Project objectives/goals were formulated in accordance with general goals from Porkuni schools development plan of 2020-2024. In accordance to the activities set by the project the collective of Porkuni strived towards aforementioned objectives: 1) Schools collective body applies in its behavior wider environmental education skills in is day to day activities and uses more consciously outdoor classes. 2) Language skills of the school family (especially English) and confidence in communication with foreign partners have improved. 3) Student/teacher positive contact with closer and futher(social) environment mainly through musical expression has increased.
Porkuni School, is a school with a live in student dormitory, provides basic education to students with light, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. If the student cannot learn as the teacher teaches, the teacher must learn to teach in a manner suitable for the student. The forementioned has been prevalent and should still be considered in the whole field of education but especially in the context of special education methodology. (Practicality-vitality, individual approach, broad-based cooperation with all groups of interests) and in connection with knowing what are the necessary life skills for a student of the 21st century. Sectoral changes formulated in the project objectives (environmental knowledge, in language learning, development of cooperation skills and well-being through self-knowledge) are Porkuni Schools preferences in learning, growth, for big-small, individual-organization to give meaning to being a "Good global citizen!". Internationality gives a wider dimension to acquired knowledge, gives an subjective/cognitive evaluation the school's current state of development, helps maintain the school year subject focused and is a good incentive for autonomous and self-efficacious adults learners.
