Our main goals were: 1. To achieve a higher level of teachers' competencies and skills in teaching STEM subjects and integrating subjects. 2. In line with the goals of KA1 (to provide learning opportunities for individuals and to support the internationalization and institutional development of schools), our goal was to develop the competences of teachers and school leaders in STEM education - especially in terms of planning and conducting education. 3. Promoting the use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods. If teachers believe and see in practice that innovations work, then it is easier to introduce new technology and innovative teaching methods. STEM education can be a solution to promote the use of new technologies as a novel method. 4. In cooperation with an expert, we wanted to develop a STEM program for our school, one of the characteristics of which is new technology and a change in teaching methodology. 5. High-quality STEM lesson plans and syllabi that are relevant to the curriculum and are consistently usable.
The main reason for launching the project was the concern that students see few connections between real life and what they learn in school. In our opinion, the integration between STEM subjects was one possible learning place to improve the bottleneck. Teachers should be able to make connections between real life and what is taught in the textbook as well as individual subjects and teach STEM subjects in an integrated manner and be able to create integrated curricula for this. In this light, we found that our school needs teachers who can: develop a school vision for innovative teaching methods in the STEM field *Learn how to adapt a novel approach to existing experience and resources *Learn and use innovative teaching methods, assessments and curriculum development *Learn from best practices on how to integrate STEM subjects *take into account the importance of technology in STEM education and introduce teachers, management, ICT manager to important concepts and tools in STEM education.
