Background

Laulasmaa School is a public school-kindergarten which consists of 3 school houses (Laulasmaa, Klooga, Lehola) and 3 kindergarten houses (Laulasmaa, Klooga, Lehola). The project was for the kindergarten houses. According to the new development plan 2021-2025 of Laulasmaa School, the role of kindergarten teacher will change. Teacher will become a supporter of the teaching process, partner in a learning process. As the educational approach is changing to more child-centered, we wish to offer to our kindergarten teachers a possibility to study Reggio Emilia educational approach, which is known as child-centered and child interests following approach and therefore supports the implementation of our new development plan. With this project we would like to unify the vision of all the educational workers of the 3 kindergartens of Laulasmaa School about the principles and implementation of the changed concept of learning in Laulasmaa School kindergartens. We wish that as a result of this project the satisfaction with learning process in kindergarten will grow among kindergarten teachers, children and parents.
