Objectives

Innovative methods and a self-developing team are actively involved in the integration of subjects, thus turning what is learned in different subjects into a whole. New knowledge and practical experiences make classroom work more interesting for the pupils and the teacher, while motivating the pupils to study more. Using versatile digital devices facilitates teaching students of different levels in the same classroom.

Background

Maarja-Magdaleena Primary School is a small community school, where each pupil’s individuality is valued. In addition to curriculum based studies, a big emphasis is also on a wide variety of extracurricular clubs, in which a child living in the countryside can find activities after their studies. The school’s development plan for the years 2021-2026 aims to achieve the following general objectives: Continuing the increasing trend of academic success and learning quality through the systematic schooling of the school’s staff, improving of the learning environment and modernisation of teaching materials; Providing a safe school environment, taking into account the individuality of the pupils; Creating a versatile worldview through both academic and non-formal learning. An inclusive education system requires a teacher who is constantly up-to-date with today’s diverse teaching methods. The learning mobility for teachers was a great opportunity to deepen the sense of cohesion through the acquisition of new skills and experiences. A self-developing and self-learning teacher, who uses new teaching techniques in class, motivates pupils to achieve better results.
