Development of disadvantaged rural and urban areasNew learning and teaching methods and approachesEntrepreneurial learning - entrepreneurship education

Objectives

1. Boost students' learning motivation through new educational experiences. For the students, participating in mobility programs outside of Estonia is a first travelling experience, expanding their worldview, enhancing their language skills, and promoting greater tolerance. 2. Integrate entrepreneurial education into the curriculum, and conduct events and thematic days to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. During mobility, we get to see how other schools foster entrepreneurial education, thereby gaining new ideas to bring back to our school. 3. Enhance the school's reputation within the community and among parents. Publicizing our mobility experiences in the local media and sharing those experiences with parents contributes to the school's reputation.

Background

We are a small rural school and have held the entrepreneurial school quality mark since November 2020. Therefore, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset is a important issue for us. The size of our school is relatively small, totaling 75 students as of spring 2023. Being located on the periphery of Estonia, it's crucial for us to enhance the school's reputation to ensure its survival. The impact of Covid-19 has been felt in the motivation levels of both teachers and students. We hoped that participation in the project would boost motivation for all. The project was designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, making teaching more practical and giving students more responsibility in the process. Actively participating in learning mobility and later sharing those experiences with our school, community, and neighboring schools, serves to enhance our reputation.
