Within the this mobility project we wanted to bring additional knowledge and experience to our school, how to better plan and implement the principles of an active school day, how to bring more elements supporting physical activity to the school day. We involved teachers, management and students to gain more ideas from different points of views.
Kuusalu school has stood out over time with strong results in various sports fields. Opportunities for physical activity have been created for all students. Our school is a School in Motion, in 2021 we joined the Estonian Olympics Committee pilot project "Sport in school" and have held the school's Olympic Games. With the completion of our new elementary school building in 2022, we wanted to use the project to find more knowledge and experience from both educators and other schools, how to more consciously implement active elements into teaching and education. In this project we combined the view of students, teachers and management board so we could collect a wide range of ideas and possibilities, how to implement the active schoolday in our school.
