By implementing the project, we wish to redesign our teaching of singing in school. The class will be held in small groups, every student’s goal, needs and experiences will be in focus. The teaching environment will be supportive and will base on the unique traits of character in learning of each student. The students will take responsibility for the content, setting learning goals and designing their learning process. The teacher has all necessary didactic tools for students from all kinds of backgrounds, experience, taste, and goals. They will be able to put them into practice so that the student is motivated, active and takes responsibility for their own development. The teaching is concrete and effective in practice. By implementing the project, our ability to organize events for the whole school will be enhanced and students’ learning skills will improve overall.
Our school located in Viljandi, it’s a small town in Central Estonia. This is a state secondary school and quite new, just started in autumn 2012. We have in our school 6 main fields of study – sciences, nature, economic, social, humanitaria, arts and languages. Our school is one of the innovation and pilot schools of reformation of the Estonian educational system. We are participating in different kind of projects, because our educational staff, students and all school are fast developing. Our staff is very professional and we have good experiences of international projects. Our school has a very strong motivation to participate in this project, because we are very concerned about the situation of creativity and new methodology of teaching Europe. In this project will be participating and working from our school a project team – teachers and other staff. In our school there is a full time project manager and her main duty is to manage different kinds of projects.
