Objectives

The goals were formulated on three levels. 1. I would like to apply the meaningful experiences and results of students' practice in our workplace-based learning (tkp) in order to improve its quality. 2. To get to know the organization of practice in Germany and to gain the necessary experience. 3. To spread experiences and results in Estonia.

Background

Pärnu German School of Technology organizes full workplace-based training for all study programs for its students. The workplace-based vocational training common in European vocational education (study - 1/3 of the study volume in school, 2/3 in the workplace) has been practiced in all vocational schools since 2016 with the support of the all-Estonian Europroject. One could say that the system is slowly taking root, but still developing. A more problematic place is learning in a company (internship). In this area, it is largely up to the schools themselves to decide and invent. Self-determination and creating your own knw-how is good for a certain period of time, but you probably also need models of how to organize this learning. Instead of inventing the bicycle. Since in most schools the proportion of tkp education is relatively small, they are not very interested in developing this aspect either. The fact that Pärnu German School of Technology deals with 100% tkp education, we have had the opportunity to formulate these problems as well. The internship has been a good and necessary development engine for the school.
