The project has two objectives: to ensure that the curricula and teaching methods are of high international quality and that graduates have good international knowledge and experience. Mobility will give instructors valuable insights into how other international partners train their future officials and how trainee ships are organised to better achieve learning outcomes. Instructors have the responsibility to ensure a high quality and internationally comparable education and gaining international experience contributes directly to this objective. For students, participating in student mobility adds practical international experience and knowledge to the knowhow acquired during their studies, which helps them to do their job better and more effectively in a globalized world.
The development plan of EASS has an international dimension: the academy will become the best European center for training and research in internal security. Out of 21 performance indicators in the development plan, 2 are related to outgoing mobility. VET curricula are very content-rich and intensive. Therefore, the mobility of student in VET curriculum are minimal. EASS is presenting this vocational training project to provide vocational training students with the same opportunities for mobility and internationalization as in higher education. The Academy wishes to enrich the curriculum and teaching methods. The aim is to provide the knowledge, skills, aptitudes, values that will help to cope with the globalizing world. The selected partners from Finland, Norway and Germany are all institutions where we can learn from. It is the task of the instructors to ensure that students receive a high standard of education that is internationally comparable.
