The main project objective was to increase QUALITY and QUANTITY of SUSTAINABILITY YOUTH PROJECTS in ecovillages and other sustainability projects. Ecovillages are models of sustainable settlements that serve as training & learning centres offering non-formal learning activities plus, most importantly, informal learning through the immersion experience of sharing ecovillage life. Ecovillages promote active citizenship, entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and a solution-oriented approach. Ecovillages create inclusive and participatory structures based on values like respect for diversity, regeneration and sustainability, social justice, equality and equity, integrity and transparency. We believe it is important for young people to be exposed to these values & attitudes to be equipped for the challenges of our societies today.
