HAPPSY aimed, through the project, to: - Incorporate Digital Tools/ E-learning methodologies in its Adult Education services and increase digital literacy of trainers/educators as a need for more digital practices and blended learning in adult VET, with a greater online structure. - Equip trainers/educators with innovative Experiential Learning techniques, as a need of modern Adult Education for more practices that can get in touch learners with the object of study, increasing thus the quality of the learning process and the learning potential of learners. - To strengthen the European dimension and network of the organization for the conduction of future joint actions, as COVID-19 pandemic has made the communication and the synergies between European Organizations inefficient and challenging.
The Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology (HAPPSY) is a non-profit scientific organization aiming to promote Positive Psychology. An important task undertaken by HAPPSY is to provide information to scientists and professionals about applications and new developments in the field of Positive Psychology. To this end HAPPSY conducts training programmes such as the Diploma in Positive Psychology, which are conducted both face-to-face and online. The COVID-19 pandemic brought to the surface the skills gap of HAPPSY’s trainers/trainees in digital practices of Adult Education. Since then, Adult Education has been “devoured” from digital learning practices; distance education has become widespread and digitalization came to stay permanently. Apart from that, the modern field of adult education is becoming more and more demanding, students are seeking courses where hands-on approaches are actively incorporated in the learning process, instead of the obsolete education system where the student acquires a passive role. Thus, HAPPSY applied for this project to enhance its trainers with digital/E-learning skills and with Experiential Learning techniques that can be implemented both online and in person.
