The pandemic has created new facts and research shows that people will turn to other forms of tourism, non-mass tourism, which require solutions and modification of the functioning of cultural institutions to quickly heal the wounds created. By submitting the plan, we wanted to introduce new sustainable alternative forms of tourism that aim to provide higher quality services and at the same time give priority to the sustainable management of cultural heritage and the use of digital opportunities. Through our participation in the project we wanted to achieve the vision and priorities we have set as objectives and develop new museum, cultural and educational programmes that take a sustainable perspective but also exploit the new possibilities offered by new technologies. We want to further develop the capacity to design new educational-cultural programmes that incorporate digital tools and emphasise sustainable development and the use of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Another strategic objective running through the organisation is networking and collaboration with partners from Europe and our involvement would give greater visibility helping the sustainability of the organisation and strengthen our perspective.
Greek Cultural Institute aims to promote the values of Greek education and Greek culture. In order to achieve its objectives, organizes educational and cultural activities with social and environmental impact that aim at collective benefit and collaborates with museums, cultural institutions, municipalities and schools for the development of educational programs, guided tours and activities in museums, archaeological sites. It also organizes and implements numerous training courses, workshops and lectures for school groups, associations and companies from all over the world. The period of the pandemic and the suspension of cultural activities has necessarily made it an immediate priority to meet the objectives necessary for the sustainability of the organization. By submitting the plan we wished to improve: -Design and implementation of new programmes based on sustainable management with new innovative methodologies. -Training of staff in attitudes, knowledge and skills that will make them positive in accepting changes and able to apply the new ideas and knowledge they acquire. -Grouping the target audiences of the organisation, identifying and targeting emerging audiences. -Expand and promote new partnerships at European level
