Upon completion of the programme, our main goal is to examine how we can promote innovative changes in our school unit, to improve not only its administrative function but also the educational process, both included in an outward-looking and multicultural European context. In this context, our main concern was the acquaintance with other European educational systems, the recording of good teaching practices, the professional development of teachers, the development of initiative, communication, cooperation, presentation, problem-solving, negotiation, and other critical and creative skills so that we can implement international educational collaborations and actions with other European schools, which our existing working environment, as it operates in our country, is unable to provide them. Also, the main goal was the development of our students' multifaceted personalities, the strengthening of their talents, the approach of their interests, their participation in work groups with the aim of their full integration into the educational process, and their acquaintance with the European dimension- culture and cooperation.
We are a public primary school teaching pupils aged from 6 (first grade) to 12 years old (sixth grade) according to the current primary education National Curriculum as it is defined by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs.We implement innovative activities and projects that aim to help pupils develop their social skills and critical thinking, encouraging school to open up in a national and European level. This Erasmus project enriches greatly our school’s framework offering our teachers the opportunity to learn about the educational organization and management of learning in Sweden and Iceland,learn ways of cross-border collaboration and how to manage educatonal projects,visit educational institutions,attend lessons in class ,follow the daily routine of students and teachers,familiarise with the history,modern civilization and the Nature of the hosting countries,meet with colleagues from a variety of schools around Europe,share experience and ideas,cooperate and record good practices that will support a European dimension in Education which will benefit our pupils and our school . to get to know the ways of cross-border collaborations as well as the management of educational projects and the way of integratin
