At the end of the project we hope to create new varieties of ornamental species that need less water to grow and we will introduce the use of media in school's daily activities. For the first aim we carry out the experiments to save water and a green wall to make the most of the space. The second is to learn about audiovisuals and implement this methodology at school. Through the activities, we will positively influence the students from the special education and the educational priority zone departments who usually tend to drop out of school. This is achieved because they perform the manual tasks through which we motivate them, make them feel competent, useful, contribute to the school and improve their self-esteem. Other goals are:: promotion of interdisciplinarity, environmental awareness of students, and sharing of knowledge and experiences with other schools of our area.
We believe that the program meets the needs of our students and the needs of our area. We expect that through the provided workshops students will experience skills in many areas of the curriculum (language and arithmetic skills, knowledge of biology, physics and Informatics, foreign languages) as well as soft skills such as teamwork and collaboration. It will be possible to develop initiatives and innovation, increase self-esteem and school satisfaction as well as reduce school dropout. Students will be aware of the protection of the environment of their area, which is of particular environmental value as it is part of the Natura program. This will be possible by creating plant varieties through grasps that will help reduce the water levels needed to water the flowerbeds and the vertical school garden.
