The objectives of the plan were: 1) for the school community (students, teachers, parents) to actively manage the amount of information flooding the internet and digital media. 2) the members of the school community, in addition to being active receivers of information, should also be active transmitters and users of digital media. 3) the school administration and its staff are able to formulate a single policy regarding the management of digital media within the school.
Aridaia General High School is a regional school in a semi-rural area, most of whose students come from a rural environment. The school with a student population of 320 students and a staff of 32 teachers, 1 administrative employee, 1 psychologist and 1 social worker is one of the largest schools in Pella Prefecture. It is a school located on the border, providing secondary general education studies to students of the city of Aridaia and the villages (about 40) of the province of Aridaia. At the same time, the school participates in cultural and environmental programs, while for the last 10 years it has collaborated with European schools either within the framework of the Erasmus+ program (KA1 and KA2) or by hosting students from other European schools. The goal of this project was the digital literacy of educational staff and students. The pandemic of 2019 brought the school community face to face with many challenges. Among them the way in which we will manage either teachers or students and even parents the digital tools not only as receivers but also as transmitters.
