Of utmost priority was bullying prevention through the improvement of interpersonal relations and of the school capacity to deal with problems - critical events as well as managing diversity in our multicultural classrooms. At the same time, this programme added to the empowering of the rest of the teachers of our school, to the improvement of cooperation with the families of our students, to the modification of the very school profile regarding conflict management as well as to the enhancement of the school's capacity to interact with local and European institutions.
The Greek High School of Munich "Konstantinos Karatheodori" is a Secondary Education School and provides general education to students aged 15 to 18, who mainly come from the Greek community here. It is housed in a modern building and, as it is the only Greek High School in Munich, students from families of various social and economic backgrounds as well as different educational levels coexist in this school. But the biggest problem lies in the mandatory coexistence of two categories of students: on the one hand there are students who were born or spent most of their life in Munich and on the other hand students who have recently arrived in Munich and bring a completely different mentality and culture. Therefore, due to these conditions, conflicts and confrontations occur both between students and between students and teachers. The programme focused on dealing with students' behaviour in the classroom, coping with disruptive behaviour, communication, interpersonal relations, active listening and empathy, conflict management, dealing with emotional difficulties and bullying prevention.
