By implementing the program we consider that we have largely achieved the professional development of teachers by modernizing teaching methods through the dissemination of knowledge. Raising awareness and deepening the knowledge of the participants on environmental issues in order to form correct environmental and consumer behavior through questionnaires and interviews. We also observed changes in the consumption habits of teachers, but especially students in the use of plastic. In addition, we achieved the development of constructive communication and mutual trust with the students through the formation of a group of teachers who acted as observers of the change in behavior and cooperation of our students, especially the learning disabled. Finally, we improved the digital skills of teachers and students through the pedagogical use of technology (postermywall, flipquiz, storyjumper, freelogodesign) in order to collect information and create posters, ebooks on environmental problems, local and global.
Our program focuses on the development of soft skills by our students, which are considered necessary for their professional life but it also focuses on the creation of ecological and environmental awareness in our school with the aim of raising this awareness to teachers and students, tomorrow's active citizens. Our school is a public primary school. Alongside the curriculum, every year it undertakes educational, cultural and environmental programs organized by the Directorate of Education and it integrates them into the school's everyday life. Our school is attended by students aged 6-12 who come from middle class and working class families. In addition, immigrant children attend our school, as well as children from the Diavata refugee resettlement center, who receive support in the special reception class.. There are also students with mobility problems who are also supported by support staff. Finally, our school has an integration class for students with learning difficulties. Our Erasmus program is for students of all grades with the aim of developing them into "green", active citizens who will contribute to maintaining a cleaner planet.
