Background

The 2nd Nipiagogeio of Afandou is a public school that educates around 50-60 children aged 4-6 years every year. The school employs 7 educators. Our school aspires to be an open school that is involved in a fruitful dialogue with our students' environments; a place where everyone feels safe and to be able to reach their maximum potential. Also to be a school that interacts with and engages the local community, schools and institutions within the country and internationally. Through partnerships at local, regional, national and international level we seek to provide all our students with equal opportunities, to adapt our teaching to the needs of each child and to act as a counterbalance in cases where this is necessary. We use the scaffolding approach to help our students realise their fullest ability.
