By implementing this project, we want to achieve certain objectives which will facilitate the needs and challenges that our school faces. For the educators: • to be self-motivated to adopt lifelong learning for their personal and professional development as well as for the benefit of our students • to obtain new skills and competences and develop themselves through modern teaching methods. • to motivate colleagues to organize and participate in relevant projects For the students • to raise their cultural and environmental awareness as well as digital information management • to practice their soft skills and competences • to communicate and cooperate with foreign students in a non-native language • to practice critical thinking while performing certain assignments and activities For the school • To strengthen the school’s profile • To achieve internationalization and modernization • To enhance the European dimension of our school
The Covid-19 pandemic has shown that traditional classroom style education alone is not effective anymore. Teachers of the new era need to adopt modern teaching methods. Through this project we want to learn and practice methods that are more activity-based, centre the learners’ minds and involve them entirely in the process of learning. Moreover, the interactive visits in countries with a different historical, cultural, religious background and educational systems aim at the understanding of interculturality, diversity and the enhancement of students’ tolerance. We also pursue our students to improve their language and communication skills by using a non-native language, exchange experiences and through cooperation upon subjects such as cultural heritage, environmental education and natural resource management to achieve personal growth. Our school needs to strengthen its curricula and also establish connections with other organizations and schools for future collaboration.
