We set as the goals of the project the detection of the common cultural heritage of the ancient Greek and Roman civilization, as reflected in the monuments located near the collaborating schools. In addition, our goal was to promote multilingualism and help teachers and students practice the use of foreign languages, French and English, during the development of the project. The application was submitted during the pandemic and one of the goals was to further familiarize with digital tools as well as to continue cooperation through the exchange of students and the co-creation of new projects (we are already getting ready for the next school year (2023-2024). We achieved our goal through the educational exchange and the Greek-French cooperation: 8 students with 2 teachers from our school visited Anne Frank College (26/2/2023-3/3/2023) and we hosted 10 students with 4 teachers at our school (26/3/2023-2/4/2023).
During the 2019-2020 school year 5th High School of Evosmos responded to the invitation of the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia to strengthen the educational Greek-French Cooperation with schools of Cote d’Azure, Arles and Provence. During the pandemic we contacted Anne Frank College, Morieres, Aix-Avignon and planned the implementation of an Erasmus+ KA1 program focused on the common cultural heritage of the two countries and on the ancient Greek and Roman monuments that are located near the partner schools and are used continuously to this day. As a complementary goal, we set the promotion of language skills using ancient Greek, French and English languages.
