Objectives

The objectives of the 1st EPAL PEIRAIA are identified as follows: • The enrichment and expansion of curricula that take into account the needs of students, but also the labor market in the fields in which they are educated. • The training program should not be limited to theoretical knowledge, but should be linked to the labor market and in this case the internship should be the link. • Knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the expectations of students and provide them with opportunities for continuous upgrading of skills in the context of lifelong learning. • Adoption of standards of teamwork, cooperation, professional communication and empathy. Based on the above data, we developed the project entitled "Training of nurses in intensive care units" for 30 students in the specialty of Nursing Assistant who in two mobility flows were trained in emergency and intensive care at the ICU in Germany

Background

The 1st EPAL PEIRAIA in recent years has developed many contacts with the labor market and its students participate in many voluntary activities. We found that these contacts had an impact on the personal development of our students and their socialization. They were thus the trigger to identify the need for collaboration at the transnational level, aiming on the one hand to develop knowledge and skills on the part of students in the subjects they study to maximize their competitiveness and on the other hand to enhance school extroversion. Looking for ways that will enable us to follow the new developments, we sought to connect our school with the work being done outside our country. One way of doing this is through European programs, and in particular mobility programs, through which quality in training and vocational training remains a priority.
