The aim of this program was the overall upgrade of our school, the quality of the education provided and the students who attend it. The Erasmus+ program is a unique opportunity for a school in the province to open its horizons and realize its goals with greater ease and quality. Through this project we expected to provide high standard training to students in the fields of Civil Engineering and Agriculture, but also skills necessary for the job market after the end of their studies. Our goal was to create new ties and network our school in Cyprus with educational agencies and respective institutions. Finally, we sought to provide the opportunity for teachers of the corresponding fields to be inspired by the new learning methods applied abroad, as well as the different information and knowledge that is on the horizon.
Our school is a historic vocational high school that offers 4 main areas to its students and has many years of experience in teaching subjects. In the mobility of this program we included students from the field of Construction projects. Our curriculum offers the following courses that are directly related to the subject of this project: "Built environment and urban planning applications", "Digital cartography", "Technology of construction materials", "Geoinformatics applications", "Building - Architectural design", "Computer Design". Our participation in the Erasmus+ program allowed students in the field of Civil Engineering and the field of Agriculture to acquire theoretical knowledge, practical skills and experience in Modern Urban Planning aimed at a sustainable natural environment that is in harmony with human needs, a direction that is gaining more and more interest in urban planning. In this way, the aim was to increase their level of professional training and their chances of professional rehabilitation when they enter the labor market in the future.
