Τhe 1st EPAL of Sitia has been operating since 2006, while until then it operated as the Technical High School of Sitia from decade in the 1980s. Our school has 178 students enrolled in the current school year and 42 teachers, permanent and substitutes. The fields offered are four: 1) Information Technology, 2) Mechanical Engineering (with specializations in Auto Mechanic and Mechanic of Installations and Constructions), 3) Electrical Engineering and 4) Administration and Economics (with specialties of Tourism Business Employees and Administrative and Financial Services Employees). The school's laboratory courses are far from the real conditions they are called to students face upon entering the labor market. Concerning Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, the laboratory courses are done on technologies of the previous 30 years. The Economy & Tourism field lacks modern software for bookkeeping and the management of tourist units. Wanting to give the supplies to the students for the next decades, we chose topics cutting edge such as hybrid, electric motoring and Green Entrepreneurship using integrated management systems SAP, ERP.
