Ionian University`s strategy for internationalization and modernization sets as its primary goal its active participation and presence in the international academic environment. The internationalization policy of the institution is closely linked to the digitalization process and modernization at all levels (teaching, administration, infrastructure etc.) and includes staff training activities concerning the digital roadmap linked to international awareness. The Erasmus Programme is the pilot activity for this digitalization process, taking advantage of all existing tools. It gives the opportunity for a wider international vision through mobility and exchanges for researchers, administrative-academic staff and students. Students and staff of Ionian University gain high quality knowledge and experience that will enable them to work and evolve in an international environment by having access to internationalized curricula (multilingual course studies). The main objectives of the project were to increase the number of participants after a year of cancellations due to Covid (both students and staff) as well as increase and deepen Inte-Institutional agreements with HEIs of programme countries, associated countries and third countries.
