Objectives

Development of tutorials for using specific digital health services: Descriptive tutorials were created to guide users on accessing and utilizing digital health tools specific to their country. These tutorials provided step-by-step instructions for important processes, such as viewing health records and booking vaccine appointments. Users could mark each step as completed to progress to the next, ensuring successful completion of the process. Health literacy development: Personalized modules were offered to users based on their age and condition, focusing on health information related to well-being, disease prevention, monitoring, and treatment. Users had access to information on specific topics of interest to them, enhancing their health literacy. Digital literacy development: DigiCare aimed to reduce discomfort and anxiety associated with using digital tools and improve older people's attitudes toward technology.

Background

The consortium applied for this project recognizing the growing need for innovative solutions to support the well-being and healthcare needs of older people. We saw an opportunity to leverage technology to address the challenges faced by older adults, such as social isolation, limited access to healthcare services, and difficulties in utilizing digital technologies effectively. By developing the DigiCare platform, we aimed to empower older individuals, enhance their quality of life, and contribute to a more inclusive and age-friendly society.
