By implementing this project, we wanted to achieve the improvement of the acquisition of skills of people with special needs in matters of entrepreneurship for their easier access to the labor market. We also wanted them to experiment with creating their own business through a virtual e-shop and creating a platform connecting people with disabilities and entrepreneurs.
Vocational rehabilitation of people with special needs is a major issue in the partner countries of the JOB project. large. Also, while in the public sector and in the municipalities there is an organization where people with special needs can apply to find a job through invitations and announcements, the same is not true in the private sector. There is no body that connects the companies that offer positions in AMEA with the people themselves who are looking for work neither in Greece nor in Turkey. With this in mind, we applied for the JOB project which sought to fill this gap and contribute to the training of people with special needs in entrepreneurship by making the corresponding differentiations according to the disability.
