Our Youth Exchange was on Climate change, and we wanted through the involvement of the participants to gain some sustainable practices and to use them in their daily life. We collected a set of activities, customized them as needed, and produced additional curriculum activities to achieve our goal; to make an impact on participants' lives by improving their self-esteem and self-awareness. The project`s theme was climate change and Global Warming, and its main objective was to enable young people and their leaders to work together and strengthen their European citizenship, promoting at the same time inclusion, environment, and European awareness. Our project was emphasized on two major social issues, Climate Change, and environmental entrepreneurship. The Project specific objectives were: • empowering the participants European identity and awareness of the need for social participation to reduce climate change among European citizens. • Making young participants to get out of the box giving their own ideas in green entrepreneurship. • encouraging the direct participation of young people from 6 countries and encouraging the adoption of a responsible attitude regarding the reduction of energy consumption and waste • understanding the differences between nations, making them more united through the meeting between different cultures • promoting the reduction of environmental pollution and understanding the importance of a healthy living environment among the members of the communities. • Sustainable food, energy and generally keeping responsible attitude regarding reduction of energy and wastes With the implementation of the YE, we tried to keep in maximum impact to these objectives, something that we succeeded with Non-Formal environmental themes and the participation of all the participants. 48 youngsters (ages 16 – 20) from 6 organizations and 12 leaders (Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, Poland, Croatia and Malta) gathered in a YE and with their own ideas to learn how to get out of the Box and to create their own green projects and to extend them so to get educational keys that have to do with entrepreneurship and critical thinking.
