Objectives

1.RETHINKING YOUTH The future in our hands Urban teens are the major group under the scrutiny of social scientists of a heavy over-generation, living in impoverished neighborhoods. Nevertheless, the future of our youth keeps being on their hands: If even 1/4 of us worked to make our lives successful, we could still make some amazing contributions to society. Youth has the power to inspire the entire world to strive for success, but do have the power to try to achieve it their ourselves. This project was a challenge to each of the young participants and to the implicated NGOs as well, to visualize their full potential. Each of the participating youth groups was ableto connect, react, suggest and offer in benefit of the alliance, contributing to the total project’s effect. All NGOs tried their best to contribute to the plans and dreams of our youth. 2. BACKGROUND The idea has been generated by a young volunteer, Emilio Vazquez (25 years old) who prepared the content of the current activity for the European Week of Youth 2021. The idea has impressed the supervisor and has been suggested to be utilized as a youth mobility project with specific refinements and add ons and so it happened! 3. THE MOTIVATION Nine+1 organizations cooperated to construct strong cores of local youth groups. With leaders our youth, we startede on building a Rethinking Youth group out of the classical framework, out of political will, strengthening the social power of the “few”. We aim to strengthen the core of the majority and emphasize on activities of social inclusion. 4. OUR MOTO: RETHINKING YOUTH Young people grow up in varied circumstances with different priorities and perspectives. While youth does not exist as a single group we need to understand what is happening in young people's lives. Rethinking Youth challenged the conventional wisdoms surrounding the position and opportunities of young people today; within this context the current activity contributed on youth studies research. Through referring to a "Rethinking Youth" we emphasized and focused on conceptions, ideas and opinions of young people about programs and strategies designed for 'at risk' populations, we discussed abour policy development in benefit of youth affairs. There was also set the topic of youth complexities, democracy and equality, sexual identity, safety and protection, human rights, ideologies, religion and politics from the perspective of young people in a rapidly changing world. 5. PATHWAYS OF REACHING THE NEEDS OF PARTICIPANTS Before the mobility we will applied several preparatory virtual meetings (local events) for giving time to participants to seek and learn more about themselves in a "rethinking" mode. We tried to train our youth as such as to be capable to select a leader from the team per partner with a non biased manner without preset roles, strict rules and tight positioning. We have set priorities of activities and constructed a framework of a local Youth Council that supports the potential to be self-managed. The main concept is to release youth to feel free and safe as not to suppress their emotions. By strengthening the emotional self of young people, we strengthen their self-esteem, self-confidence and will for staying strong and hopeful, fighting for their dreams, claiming their free will and following their vision. Rethinking youth, if safe, moral and united, reacts better to addiction challenges, emotional control, life threats and social failures. There has been set a specific vision of Youth Councils: (i) A Youth Council where is given space for everybody as to -initiate -collaborate -express opinions -communicate and network -create -get motivated for personal development -develop career skills (ii) A Youth Council Alliance per partner, for all. There have been suggested to work in 7 main sectors according to interests and expectations of youth: -Youth for Research and Innovation - eco-focused Youth -Artistic Youth -Sport Youth -Youth for Civil Protection & social solidarity -Disabled Youth and Social Inclusion - Youth fighters for human rights and social justice All of those thematic have been constructed and analyzed by young representatives with higher leadership skills. The engaged youth that work on this project was engaged to promote inclusion & human rights; those grounded rules were of higher importance as to ensure the quality of the process. Each young leader has been challenged to create their own youth group as to be set by their own sociabilities as the LEADER OF THE GROUP. 6. PATHWAYS OF REACHING NGOs' EXPECTATIONS A second purpose of this project was to be strengthened the fellowship and flourish the partnership between the implicated partners, as visioned by the participatory youth. All the representatives seem to still have =a regular communication aiming to strengthen cooperation perspectives. All of the implicated partners are pretty satisfied by the results as to foster project's continuity with erasmus!
