Objectives

Our overall aims and objectives can be concluded in the following: We wanted to share theoretical information and practical knowledge in the field of circus pedagogy, using the knowledge and structure of our Belgian partners that operated as the lead trainers and in this way to EVOLVE OUR PRACTISES ON CIRCUS PEDAGOGY. More specifically, we wanted to further structure an all inclusive teaching process with clear pedagogic planning in the area of youth and social circus, further develop innovative and creative methods, and get a higher level of understanding about yearly planning. Using this project and the knowledge it would provide us, we aimed to EMPOWER OUR PROFILE in the social circus field. Additionally realizing the needs of our larger community we wanted to WIDELY SHARE the procedure of our training as well as the outcomes, in different creative ways also linked with the rising digital era of sharing knowledge and information.

Background

This partnership holds STRONG ROOTS from former erasmus plus cooperation of its coordinators. Spending precious time together in other projects related to circus pedagogy, social circus and inclusive teaching methodologies, the three partners realized they share COMMON NEEDS: They all wanted to empower their participants' professional skills of field work, improve the impact of their work on youth and social circus, and address more beneficiaries in an inclusive and non discriminatory manner. At the same time all partners wanted to largely share the philosophy and application of circus pedagogy to other trainers located locally or working in remote areas, and to spread this knowledge for the benefit of the many. The small scale partnership seemed like a great opportunity for the grassroot level applicant to strengthen their European presence in their local areas and make good use of its CAPACITIES, while it gave an excellent opportunity to the more experienced partners to improve their mentoring skills and further DEVELOP their local and international presence in the field as well.
