We wanted to incorporate into our organization better ways of working online, with more organized tools and more standardized processes, and learn from other organizations that this is their natural means of development. In these two years that have passed since the approval until the realization in Italy, we have developed a project led by the LINC Cooperative in Livorno,to analyse online teaching in prisons in five countries, including the prison in Granada, where several AIFED members work as volunteer educators, and we have realized that we must also improve the challenges of digitization of education in prisons that will undoubtedly come. So to all the objectives that we set in our application, we had one more that is to know how was preparing the cooperative LINC that works in several prisons of the region of Livorno, and conceive how our organization should be transformed in the field of the digitization of processes and in relation to the digitization of teaching.
The current challenges that the AIFED team is facing are mainly due to digitization after the COVID 19 pandemic. We point out the adaptation to teleworking, which is a challenge when organizing the team, maintaining correct communication among all members and incorporating online tools such as Google Meeting, Zoom, Drive and Google Calendar into the work routine, among others. Online work no longer only focuses on the basic tasks that were previously performed in the office, but also raises the need to maintain good daily communication, to verify which tasks have been performed or are pending. Likewise, the way we relate to other organizations and users has also changed. We consider it extremely necessary to implement, improve and expand the use and scope of our social networks, and of the digital communication we do from AIFED, in order to achieve a better collaboration with our partners, expand our networking network and deliver the opportunities we offer to our users.From AIFED we have always worked better in the short distance, being the current situation a challenge for all components.
