"Our main objective was to reopen and strengthen our international connections after the pandemic, fostering constructive relationships between local and foreign teachers and students. We aimed to expand our network of European contacts and host students and partners from other countries. Additionally, we planned to offer high-quality learning opportunities through student mobility, enhancing their communicative competence and promoting linguistic and cultural diversity. The mobility activities would have a positive impact on promoting the center. Furthermore, we aimed to promote environmental awareness and the implementation of eco-friendly practices among students. The real and global communicative approach needed to be promoted among the faculty, improving the quality of teaching. This would entail achieving changes in their perspectives and skills, as well as in the management of European projects, fostering active commitment to the Program throughout the entire faculty and joint management of the center's internationalization."
The EOI Maspalomas is an educational center specialized in teaching and certifying 5 modern languages. Our mission is to provide language training, foster communication, and promote linguistic and cultural diversity. We complement regular education and certify levels of communicative competence. We offer flexible schedules and have 38 different language/level groups. Our environment is diverse in terms of social, linguistic, and cultural aspects, with a significant presence of foreign residents. Reducing drop out rates is one of our major challenges, due to the specific nature of our courses and the personal and work priorities of our students. With 30 years of experience, 850 students, and a faculty of 14 teachers, we have been participating in European educational programs for many years to enhance our teaching and expand our network of contacts. This project focuses on facilitating mobility opportunities for adult students and aims to provide new high-quality training opportunities for our staff. Through this institutional experience in coordination and management, we also expect to continue growing as a center
